About
In 2001, following two days of steady rain on the first of many camping trips with his three brothers and some buddies, Earl Senchuk used tree branches to prop up a plastic tarp he bought from a gas station over the fire. Smoke billowed out from under the edges of the canopy, but it still needed a chimney to filter the rest of the smoke out. Thus, the Crown FireTent™ (CFT) was invented.

Beyond its elegant features and protection from inclement weather, the entire Crown FireTent™, parts, and stakes come in a single transport pouch and can be set up by one person (although it is easier with two). The Crown FireTent™ is stable in the wind, can be raised as a sunshade and lowered for more warmth and protection, and protects up to 18 persons around a bonfire.

Since its creation, the Crown FireTent™ has partnered with Jacquart Fabrics, makers of the Stormy Kromer hat, and is fully patented. With patent protection, a quality manufacturer, and entrepreneurial support from Innovate Marquette SmartZone, the Crown FireTent™ is soon to be another great Upper Peninsula of Michigan product, made in the USA.

About
Earl Senchuk, Inventor and Artist
Flowering concrete and steel trees with internal programmable watering systems, a patented ice fishing shanty that converts into a sled to haul all the gear, and a gardening system that extends a 3-month growing season to 9 months are just a few examples of the diverse creativity by artist and inventor Earl Senchuk.

Earl has created art for fifty years using various mediums including wire, fiber, clay, welded metals, water media, cement, and natural foliage. With five patents and more currently in the works, most of Earl Senchuk's inventions over the past twenty years deal with the consequences of our changing climate.

For the ten years that made up the 90’s, Earl manufactured 25 of his own product creations for sale nationwide through mass merchandisers, catalog companies, and direct to the consumer.
